High Strength: Provides very strong bonding, suitable for load-bearing cylindrical assemblies.
Gap Filling: Can fill clearances of ~0.15 mm to 0.25 mm.
Oil Tolerance: It tolerates minor surface contamination (e.g. light industrial oils), which makes it robust in practical assembly conditions.
High Temperature Resistance: Operating range from approximately –55 °C to +180 °C.
Fluorescent Under UV: The cured or uncured adhesive fluoresces under ultraviolet light — useful for inspection / quality control.
Certifications: It has some relevant approvals / certifications, e.g. KIWA GASTEC QA AR 214 for hydrogen-gas systems on metal threaded fittings
Our dedicated support team is on standby to provide you with expert advice, product recommendations, and answers to all your adhesive queries.

Loctite 638 is a one-component anaerobic retaining compound.
It is designed for bonding cylindrical fitting parts (e.g., shafts, gears, pulleys, bushings).
It cures when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces (in the absence of air) to form a strong, rigid bond.
